The Jones family bible tells us that Adelia Jones (Henry’s wife) had a brother Charles Jones born Dec 5 1837.
18 J Hamilton Givan’s research tells us that Mary Givan (Henry’s sister) married a Charles Jones born in 1837.
12 The Canada census of 1901 lists the Charles and Mary’s family thus confirming this union, thus indicating another marriage between the Givan and the Jones families (other than Henry and Anna).
5 This is futher confirmed in Greta Grant’s memoirs.
60The 1901 census lists Charles’ birthdate as Dec 4, 1837 instead of Dec 5 and lists his “Racial Origin” as English.
He’s listed in the 1865-66 New Brunswick Directory as Charles Jones, Farmer.
79The gravestone lists his year of death as 1913 but the cemetery records note it is common for old monuments to have wrong dates. Cause of death was shock following an operation and the informant was his son W. G. Jones of Archibald St., Moncton.
