Notes for John Humphrey Jones
The Jones bible is hard to read and birth year may be 1943 or 1945.
Elmwood Cemetery lists a Humphrey Jones 1844-1879 who I feel is likely the same individual. Suppporting this is the fact that Humphrey in Elmwood had a son Charles who named his daughter Annie Adelia. John Humphrey Jones’ mother was Adelia and his sister was Anna Adelia.
From Greta Grant’s Memoirs:
“Humphrey Jones, 5th. son, was killed by a runaway horse. He was a very handsome and capable young man. His niece Greta Grant was not born until later.”60
