Her last name is inferred from the church rolls of the Reverend William Chipman from Burlington Baptist Church in which there is listed in 1845 “Susannah Ann Hall” with the later annotation “now Hamilton”. Later in 1859 these records list “Mrs. Susan Hamilton” and above it reads “David”.122 This is confirmed from her son William’s obituary.154
She was a widow by the 1891 census.101 She moved to Everett, Massachusetts in 1892 and was living on 14 Linden Street with her son William in 1900.85
