From the Elmer Colpitts papers:
“Walter H. Colpitts stayed at home and took care of his parents. He lived on the farm at Point de Bute until they moved to Moncton, N.B. in December 1952. His wife was a nurse at the New Brunswick Hospital for TB at Moncton. They had two sons: Peter, born December 7, 1935, and died August 23, 1951; and Donald who was born February 8, 1939. Walter married Aleta Black, daughteer of Mrs. Black of Westmoreland Point, N.B. They moved back to the farm at Point de Bute.”95
