Living with wife and two children (Bessie and Orla) in Woodstock, Carleton, New Brunswick in 1881.9
Living with his wife and daughter Flossie in Albion, Cardwell district, Ontario, Canada in 1901.5
His middle name of Wesley is confirmed on his daughter Bessie’s marriage certificate (although spelt Wesly).8
He and his wife were staying with his daughter Mary’s family in 1911 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.59

On March 31, 2001, Don Colpitts received this message from Patty Szalay:
"This is what I have on a William Wesley Colpitts... William Wesley Colpitts was born in 1835 and his parents are Lazarus Colpitts a native of Coverdale Parish in Westmorland Co., NB. The mother of William Wesley is Jane Colpitts from Sussex parish of Kings Co., NB. This William Wesley Colpitts married Nellie Colpitts [sic] and he died in 1914 in Point Grey, BC. He was an ordained Methodist minister in 1866 and was at Nashwask River before taking assignment to the Boiestown mission in 1876, then in 1877 he was assisted by the probationer John F. Estey, then in 1879 he went to Powal PEI, then to Manitoba in 1883 until he retired in 1896. He then settled in Toronto and later relocated to Kerrisdale, BC in 1902. He died twelve years later at 79 years old. He was the first ordained Methodist minister to work in Boiestown..."191
