“Mrs. Elizabeth Somers
Many friends throughout the city will learn with sincere regret of the death which occurred this morning of Mrs. Elizabeth wife of Malcolm Somers, who passed away at her home, corner of Bonaccord and St. George street, about half past 7 o'clock. [...]
The deceased lady was 78 years of age -- resident of Moncton for 14 - 15 years.
Survived by her husband, Mr. Malcolm Somers, also 2 sons and a daughter. The sons are Messrs. Walter and Dr. Leverett H., both of this city, and the daughter is Mrs. Henry Jones who lives on the Salisbury Road about 5 miles from Moncton. Mrs. Somers was a daughter of the late John Steeves of Hillsboro. [...] Mrs. Milner Carlyle and Mrs. George Steeves, formerly of Hillsboro, now residing in Moncton, are sisters.
