Amazingly, it seems possible that at the age of 15, he married his 2nd cousin once removed who was almost 12 years older than him and had 3 children from her first marriage.51,59 The 1911 census lists 2 Thomas Prossers in the household of George and Laura -- one listed as son Thomas A. and single, and the other listed simply as Thomas Prosser and married to Bessie Fales. However both Thomases are listed as age 16 with a birthday in Dec, 1894, suggesting it was a double entry for the same individual. Alternatively, there could have been two Thomases and the age and birthdate was entered incorrectly for the one married to Bessie. Arguing against the 2 Thomas Prosser theory however, is that fact that in the 1901 census, there was only one Thomas Prosser in New Brunswick -- the son of George and age 5 at that time. There were no Thomas Prossers at all in the 1881 census.
