from John T. Humphrey’s “Pennsylvania Births, Philadelphia County, 1644-1765 Washington D.C.: Humphrey Publications, 1994), page 502 is the following baptism from St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Germantown: Sebastian Treuz b. 7 Dec 1753, parents Jacob and Christina (Gmehlin) Treuz.107
We assume Treuz and Treitz are the same name and the timing is right for Sebastian to have been a middle child of Jacob and Christina’s. He is therefore presumed to have died prior to the move to New Brunswick.
