She was living in Kirchhörde at the time of her marriage.
Wolfgang Franke’s earliest memory was of his grandmother, a large woman whom he angered by sticking his finger in the jam. (He was probably about 3 years old, around 1918 or so.)
Back then Horstmar was a village whose civil records were kept in Derne. Later Derne became part of Dortmund to the south, while Horstmar became part of Lünen, an adjacent town to the north.
