By family lore, said to have played accordian in the New York Opera House.
From his WW1 draft registration card, he was working as a cook at the Minneapolis Athletic Club in June, 1917.
As a private first class in Company M, 132nd Infantry, 33rd Division, he died in the Meuse-Argonne offensive on October 12th, 1918 - one month before the end of the war.
