“Elena V. Louise, 89, of The Valley in Syracuse, New York died Friday, October 10, 2008 at Menorah Park in Syracuse. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Maria Theresa (Schrippa) Colucci. She was employed by Green Hills Farms for 16 years. She was a communicant of St. James Church and a member of their Altar & Rosary Society. She was a former member of the Syracuse Rose Society. Elena was a talented artist, working with water colors and oils and doing sketches. She was a seamstress and enjoyed knitting. She was a wonderful gardener and enjoyed all sorts of plants, particularly roses.
Elena survived by her daughter, Theresa (Paul) Wrobel of Syracuse, New York and son, John J. Louise of Syracuse, New York; four sisters, Esther McShurley of Florida, Francis Guarino of Los Gatos, California, Tenzie Cimino of Florida and "T" Schleicher of Pennsylvania; brother-in-law and his wife, Harry and Ann Louise of Eastwood, New York; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John C. Louise in 1982.

Funeral Service: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, October 13, 2008, 11:30 a.m. in St. James Church, 4845 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York.
