From 1883 Auguste Frank Barrow Burt studied in London, Ontario at Huron College, the oldest Anglican Divinity school in Canada which was then part of the budding "Western University of Ontario" (later renamed University of Western Ontario).

After being ordained a Deacon he moved to his first appointment at Princeton, Oxford County.
