Westmoreland County Map I

1845

This map shows the original Westmoreland County with the Petitcoudiac (Petitcodiac) River and its famous Bend where Moncton was founded.  Note the tributaries Turtle River, Coverdale River (now Little River) and Pollet River (nowadays spelt Pollett with 2 't's).  [A segment from the David Rumsey Map Collection]
